Kevin W. Harkins, RA


Kevin Harkins has been involved in the construction industry for over twenty-five years providing a wide variety of owner representation, construction and property acquisition and ownership consulting services to property owners, investors and developers.


Kevin has extensive experience involving owner representation during new construction projects and renovations to existing properties.  During the past twenty years he has completed numerous property condition assessments of existing facilities.  Kevin has also been involved in completing a multitude of accessibility compliance reviews for multifamily and commercial properties throughout the United States. Kevin has experience negotiating settlement agreements for accessibility violations with HUD and the Department of Justice.

Throughout his involvement on a multitude of projects, Kevin has developed broad knowledge and experience in aspects of building technology, construction, and real estate development. He also has specific technical expertise in building envelope systems, roofing, structural systems, and accessibility compliance.

Kevin has been a guest speaker at yearly corporate meetings for institutional investors including Prudential Financial, GE Capital, and JP Morgan and national developers including Trammell Crow Residential, at educational seminars for an abundance of construction and design firms nationwide, and was an invited presenter at the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) conference. Kevin has presented sessions at the 2013 and 2014 AIA National Convention on the ADA and FHA.

Kevin graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture. Kevin has completed post-graduate work in Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering.

Chad Stinnett, RA, LEED AP


Chad Stinnett has eighteen years of experience in the design and construction industries. During this period he gained experience with residential, commercial, health care, institutional, hospitality, education, and gaming projects. He has served as an owner’s representative and has performed on-site quality assurance services for multifamily residential projects. Chad was involved in construction defect litigation with a focus on multifamily residential projects for over three (3) years, specializing in roofing, waterproofing, exterior cladding materials, and window assemblies. Chad also served as owner's representative to litigation related repair projects which were occupied during construction. Chad currently performs on-site quality assurance services for general construction, as well as, waterproofing, building envelope systems and roofing.


Chad’s specialty has always been on the technical side of buildings. Throughout his involvement with design production, he has focused on construction detailing.  He has been involved with writing technical manuals and developing construction detail standards. He has also served as a quality assurance leader.


Chad is a graduate of Kansas State University with a NAAB accredited Bachelor of Architecture. He is a licensed architect in the state of Colorado. Chad's professional credentials include Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation and National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB) certification.

Jose Torres, MBA, LEED Green Associate
Project Manager


Jose Torres has been involved in the real estate industry for over seven years, specifically in the commercial and residential sectors. He has a background in real estate development, construction management, and finance.


Jose has developed financial feasibility studies for commercial and residential real estate projects. He has managed the entire development process for these types of projects. He has planned, supervised, and administered construction projects including single family, multifamily, shopping centers, supermarkets, offices, and logistic centers.

Kevin Wiegand, RA


Kevin has always been a hands-on architect and makes sure that the projects he has worked on not only look good but that are also built and perform correctly.  He takes pride in his ability to work with all members of a project team, from on-site contractors to the investors, and from architects to city officials.  Whether as the team leader or a team member, Kevin knows the key to a successful project is that all team members of the project team work together. 


Kevin received his BA in Studio Arts (Sculpture) from the University if Illinois at Chicago and after a few years of working as a carpenter and a general contractor, he returned to the University of Colorado at Denver to get his Masters of Architecture.

Kevin Grace, RA


Kevin has worked in the architecture world for over 10 years. He has been involved in high-end residential, commercial and multifamily development on the design side and as a quality control specialist on the construction side. Throughout his career, he has focused on a deeper understanding of building codes and on producing well-coordinated projects.

Kevin is a graduate of Kansas State University with a NAAB accredited Bachelor of Architecture. He is a licensed architect in the state of Colorado.

Sarah Roane, Architect


Sarah began her architectural career in Colorado before heading to California, where she matured into her own practice. The 2008 economic event required a fresh approach to her career and as a result, Sarah redirected her knowledge to inspection and plans examination for all types of residential and non-residential projects. She was also private building inspector for 13 months on a 450,000 sf First Nation casino /resort. All these projects required acute observation of compliance with accessibility codes to protect the owners from litigation, either in plan reviews or during construction. She also served as a contract Building Official for a central coast town in California, overseeing procedures, code adoption, and service to the public. Her return to Colorado finds her continuing to share her experience in design, code compliance, and construction. 

Sarah has been a licensed California architect for 28 years, is also an ICC-certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner, and holds ICC certificates for Certified Building Official, CA Building Plans Examiner, CA Residential Building Inspector.

Jonathan Price, RA
Regional Manager Associate


Jonathan Price has practiced architecture for over twenty-three years, spending most of his time in Oregon. His work has involved every aspect of architectural services, from facility management and budget planning, to design and construction administration. Most of his work was performed for commercial and public clients, including school districts and higher education institutions across the state. During his last several years in Oregon, work carried him to the Pacific Northwest coast for several years to complete additions and upgrades to school sites in Lincoln City and Newport.  While working on the coast, Jonathan was introduced to the extreme weather conditions and unique weatherproofing requirements of the climate. Over the course of his career, Jonathan has led teams to complete several complex additions and ground-up projects.

Jonathan is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.  He has been a licensed Architect in Oregon since 2006.

Nancy Meister, MA
Office Manager


Nancy has worked in office and property management for over twenty-seven years. Her multifamily management experience ranges from timeshares and condominiums to apartment homes and regional offices. In addition, she has a strong background in recruiting, human resources and travel management. Nancy has managed offices and departments ranging in size from 5 to 100 employees.

Nancy was awarded Bachelor and Masters of  Degrees in Social Science from the University of New York.

Nick Barry
Project Manager


Nick Barry has had over 30 years of experience in the construction, real estate development and project finance for upscale residential and large-scale commercial projects. Nick received his Bachelor of Construction Management degree from Deakin University in Australia after spending ten (10) years in the industry as a laborer, carpenter, and a site foreman. Since receiving his degree Nick has worked for large scale contractors and construction cost consultants in Australia before moving permanently to the United States in 2006. Since 2006 Nick has worked for both a high-end residential builder and a construction consultant, both located in Colorado. 

Nick is proficient in building estimating and construction scheduling and has represented various developers in post construction negotiations pertaining to cost overruns and schedule delays. His on-site experience gives him a unique insight into issues related to trade co-ordination, process and quality control and construction methodology. His experience as a construction cost estimator has given skills in value engineering, pre-construction cost planning and ongoing cost management.

Rocio Sosa
Project Coordinator


Rocio Sosa has worked in various aspects of the real estate and construction world including valuation and appraisal, property tax consulting, construction estimating and project management. She has focused primarily on single family and multi-family projects.

Rocio completed her studies at the University of Denver and was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Construction.

Carlena Martinez
Project Coordinator


Carlena has a Bachelor of Business Administration and diverse background with experience in all aspects of office administration, coordinating operations, event planning, marketing, and property management.  She also has a proven track record of success in areas of investigative research and financial analytics, where she has spent most of her professional career.

Renate Doerry, Project Coordinator


Renate has over 10 years of experience managing projects in construction, design, real estate investment and business. Prior to joining building ONE, she led a variety of successful ventures in the U.S., Germany, and Costa Rica, primarily in high-end residential real estate and the hospitality industry.

With a driving interest in analyzing details and making things work, Renate is well-versed in both the design elements and technical aspects of construction, as well as coordinating broader operational efficiency and process improvement of projects. Her professional background also includes social science research and statistical analysis.

Renate graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Master’s degree in Public Policy, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona.

Tom Watson, AIA, LEED AP


Mr. Watson has significant, comprehensive experience in architecture, construction and business, incorporating a wide variety of project types and assuming responsibility for all phases of project management and development, including strategic planning, contract negotiations, and stakeholder leadership as well as design, documentation production, and construction administration of projects. Thomas has a track record exhibiting a thorough understanding and application of the management concepts required for successful project execution, including the leading project team, ensuring quality control, and achieving project goals while maintaining client’s project program, budget and schedule. Thomas has extensive experience executing project review and approval processes and construction permit implementation with government and municipal administrators at all levels (local, state and federal). He has a thorough understanding of building envelope design and MEP systems integration, including sustainable design strategies, and energy conservation requirements as well as review of construction documents for Building Code and ADA compliance. He understands all aspects of Construction Administration and field observation of projects during construction and through tenant occupation, including organizing and directing Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, negotiation of Change Requests, and review and approval of Applications for Payment.

Tom is a licensed Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and Architecture from Rice University. Tom also attended graduate school at the University of Colorado at Denver and University of Denver where he furthered his study of architecture and business.
